U.S. stocks look to start Tuesday with modest gains. The Dow Jones Industrial average is expected to start trading 13 points higher at 10,150 while the S&P 500 and NASDAQ are expected to make more modest one to two point gains.
Investors will look to reported auto sales Tuesday in the middle of the day. A reading on pending home sales is also is on tap.
Japan’s NIKKEI 225 made the largest gains in the major world markets Tuesday, gaining 166.07, or 1.63%. The U.S. dollar slipped slightly against the Yen to settle at 90.3600.
