LOS ANGELES, Nov 13, 2014 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Loton, Corp. (LTNR) announced that music industry veteran Jason Flom has joined the Loton, Corp. Advisory Board.
Mr. Flom is currently Chief Executive Officer of Lava Records, a label he originally founded in 1996 and reclaimed in 2009. He has also served as the Chairman and CEO of major music labels including Atlantic Records, Virgin Records (where he personally signed Katy Perry), and the Capitol Music Group. At Lava, Mr. Flom discovered and championed artists who went on to sell in excess of 150 million records around the world. Lava represented popular artists including recent signings Lorde, Jessie J, and Black Veil Brides as well as multi-platinum artists Matchbox 20, Kid Rock, The Corrs, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker, Edwin McCain, Simple Plan and The Blue Man Group.
Mr. Flom is a founding board member of The Innocence Project and also sits on the Board of Directors of Families Against Mandatory Minimums, The Legal Action Center and The Drug Policy Alliance (a division of George Soros’ Open Society Institute). In addition, Mr. Flom has supported various medical research organizations.
