Technology company Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group Inc. (OTCBB: BEAC) has opened a customer support center in Prague to serve clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Prague facility offers sales and support services in seven languages and multiple time zones, according to a news release. It also deploys local engineers who understand the cultural differences in each area.
“With the recent progress we’ve made in the region, we realized the need for a significant investment in our physical European support capabilities fashioned by our proven integrated approach,” Beacon CEO Bruce Widener said in the release.
“With its central location and young, vibrant work force, Prague represents the gateway to Eastern Europe, as well as the multitude of emerging markets in both Europe and beyond.”
Louisville-based Beacon designs, implements and manages information technology systems infrastructure. The company also offers IT-related services, such as application development and the integration of voice, data and security systems.
Beacon generated $11.1 million in net sales last year, up 84 percent from $6 million in 2008. Gross profit reached $3.6 million, up 32 percent from $2.7 million in 2008.
