Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (AEHI.PK) Optimistic About Hearing Nuclear Plant Site

Posted on 18. Nov, 2009 by PublicWire in Energy

18 November 2009 (PublicWire) Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AEHI): AEHI’s Comprehensive Plan amendment application hearing in Payette County, Idaho for the development of a nuclear power plant is currently scheduled for November 19. If this step is successful, the company will have one more hearing for the rezone of the property currently anticipated before year’s end. Rezone approval will then allow pre-COLA (Nuclear Regulatory Commission application) preparations to begin in the first quarter of 2010.

Don Gillispie, AEHI Chairman and CEO, said, “As current national polls show 75% of Americans support new nuclear power plants, communities are openly inviting nuclear developers to consider their location as a potential site. It is certainly refreshing to see this change, but not surprising considering the extensive benefits of these plants. It is apparent our new Idaho county is up to the competitive challenge in processing our application in a timely fashion.”

“Many large investors and financial organizations have been watching our progress and have clearly indicated local approval will be key to their involvement,” said Gillispie.

In addition, our Elmore County rezone application is still in process and is also being reviewed this week by the Planning and Zoning Committee.

About Alternate Energy Holdings, Inc. (www.alternateenergyholdings.com)

Alternate Energy Holdings develops and markets innovative clean energy sources. The company is the nation’s only publicly traded independent nuclear power plant developer willing to build power plants in non-nuclear states. Other projects include, Energy Neutral which removes energy demands from homes and businesses (www.energyneutralinc.com), Colorado Energy Park (nuclear and solar generation), and International Reactors, which assists developing countries with nuclear reactors for power generation, production of potable water and other suitable applications. Also, AEHI China, headquartered in Beijing, develops joint ventures to produce nuclear plant components and consults on nuclear power.

Green Star (GSAE.PK) Agrees to Terms on 120MW Wind Farm Development

Posted on 12. Nov, 2009 by PublicWire in Energy

November 12, 2009 (PublicWire) — Green Star Alternative Energy, Inc. (Pink Sheets: GSAE; “GSAE” or the “Company”) (http://www.greenstarae.com) is pleased to announce that an agreement to develop a 120 MW wind farm has been reached with Wellbury Infrastrukturberatungsgesellschaft GmbH.

A corporate structure is being created for this endeavour in a new Serbian subsidiary company, whose ownership will be maintained by both Green Star and Wellbury. The terms of the agreement include a joint 50-50 title, with complete recoupment of all expenditures by Green Star before any division of profits.

This advanced stage project is to be sited in North East Serbia – specifically in the Municipality of Pancevo, District of Banat, within the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Over 28 months of wind resource data has been accumulated over three micro locations and the results indicate a significant energy potential of 120 MW. A “Protocol of Cooperation” has been signed by the City of Pancevo, Secretariat of Energy for AP Vojvodina, and the Serbian Energy Efficiency Agency; and a license for grid connection is in process by the national transmission operator (EMS).

Dr. Miodrag Obradovic, CEO of Wellbury Infrastrukturberatungsgesellschaft GmbH, commented: “An alliance with Green Star Alternative Energy is a perfect fit for Wellbury. Green Star is dynamic team with an impressive vision for this burgeoning wind energy industry in Serbia.”

About GSAE
Green Star Alternative Energy is an environmentally conscious, renewable energy company working to develop more than 300 MW (megawatts) of clean electricity through wind energy. The corporate revenue model is two-fold: the use of a renewable resource allows not only for the creation of environmentally friendly energy, but the granting of carbon (greenhouse gas) emission credits which may be traded and sold. Green Star is pursuing a significant opportunity to provide clean energy to the growing Republic of Serbia and neighbouring European countries. Through a joint venture with key wind farm and power trading company Notos, Green Star will become the nation’s first developer of wind power. GSAE is focused on green technology and sustainable energy programs like wind turbines, hydro electric power generation, and other renewable electricity models.

Helix Wind Turbine Powers Architect`s Renovation of Chicago 1916 Home as Renewable Energy Showcase

Posted on 03. Nov, 2009 by PublicWire in Energy

SAN DIEGO–(Public Wire)– Helix Wind Corp. (OTCBB: HLXW), a global renewable energy company, reported today that its wind turbine model S322 and its Wind Turbine Monitoring System (WTMS) have been incorporated into the total renovation of a 1916 home, located on Chicago`s North Side, which has turned the home into a showcase for aesthetically pleasing renewable energy solutions.

Architect Kathleen O`Donnell of Tripartite, Inc., Chicago, IL, said she chose Helix Wind`s S322 to power the renovated 4,700 sq. ft. house, which is a combination home, office and studio for her husband, a painter, because the turbine was beautiful, quiet and took advantage of the “Windy City’s” own natural resource.

The renovated house creates its own energy, which can be sold back to the local electric utility, as well as uses a whole range of conservation materials. Helix Wind`s model S322 turbine, a renewable energy system for residential
applications, is an integral part of the house`s renewable energy platform. In
addition, Helix`s proprietary WMTS monitoring system will be delivering
comprehensive real-time data on the turbine`s performance and efficiency to the homeowner`s computer.

Ian Gardner, CEO of Helix Wind, said, “Architects like Kathleen O`Donnell, who
are catering to the growing demand for “green” housing, find our 2.0kW small
wind turbine beautifully supports the homeowner`s energy needs. Also, our WTMS showcases the accountability and transparency of our small wind systems.”

The Helix S322, which sells for $7,500, provides smooth power delivery across a broad range of wind speeds and under the most difficult of physical environments. Simple to install, modular and scalable, the S322 is ideally suited for urban environments and off-grid locations. It is built to endure and is captivating to the eye.

O`Donnell anticipates that her experience planning and designing the
infrastructure for Helix Wind`s turbine as well as using it will give her a leg
up in competing for “green” housing business commissions. This is especially
true, she said, since the real estate crash has made energy costs a significant
factor in a home`s resale value. “Developers as well as homeowners are now more sensitive to housing energy costs,” she said, “and this is what the future is going to look like.”

About Helix: Helix Wind Corp., a global renewable energy company, is engaged in the design, manufacturing and sale of small wind vertical axis turbine designed to generate 300W, 1kW, 2.0kW, 2.5kW, 4.5kW, 10kW and 50kW of clean, renewable electricity.

Safe Harbor Statement: A number of statements contained in this press release are forward-looking statements made pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Act of 1995. These forward-looking statements involve a number of risks and uncertainties, including our ability to pay the notes when they mature, attract and retain management and field personnel with experience in the small wind turbine industry, our ability to raise capital when needed and on acceptable terms and conditions, the intensity of competition and general economic factors. The actual results Helix Wind may achieve could differ materially from any forward-looking statements due to such risks and uncertainties.
