3/9 (PPRW.OB) PV Powered Announces Installation in New Commercial Project
(PublicWire.com) — PV Powered, Inc., the innovation leader in solar inverter reliability, performance, and serviceability, announces that its commercial inverters have been installed in a new office building project in Lakewood, New Jersey that also employs new high-density thin film cylindrical solar panels by Solyndra, Inc. of Fremont, Calif. The complete design, engineering and installation was completed by Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc. of Eldorado Hills, Calif.
The Central New Jersey commercial installation uses a combination of PV Powered’s 75 kW and 100 kW PV commercial inverters, fitted with Fat Spaniel performance monitoring technology. It is expected to produce more than 345,000 kW hours of electricity per year to three different building tenants who have entered into power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the investment group that has funded the development.

This is one of the largest U.S. commercial installations to use Solyndra’s new cylindrical thin film solar panels. The panels are designed to capture sunlight at wide angles and can be mounted significantly closer together than conventional rooftop panels, thereby enabling greater rooftop coverage and higher energy production at lower cost per Watt than other panel technologies.
